Jodi Large (owner)
I have to say that my dogs were my
inspiration to starting this wonderful business.
As a pet parent to Max and Barkley I wanted to start a
company that would offer other animals the same love and care that
my “kids” receive (sorry Max and Barkley, I have to share the love).
I run The Wagging Tail, work a corporate job full time and
still make time to walk my own pups and care for clients animals.
Phew! It goes
without saying that I get the sniff down every time I return from a
client visit!

Julie SederHello!
My name is Julie Seder. I have been working for “The Wagging Tail”
since April 2006 and Lovin’ every minute of it! I’m a full time dog
walker and pet sitter. Before “The Wagging Tail,” I was a Nurse
(mainly with OB/GYN) Before that I was in Real Estate (mainly
leasing) but did get my GRI. I have also completed Cosmetology
School.
As a little girl, I grew up either in the country
or on farms. I’ve always had animals around me growing up. Also as
an adult, whenever I lived on a property where furry friends were
allowed. When not allowed, I’d most likely have fish. Goldie was my
favorite. Right now I just have a 3-year-old cat, (Puddy)
I owned a horse named Star, but also rode the
other horses on the farms. I loved and lived to go to Rodeos as a
little girl and young adolescent. So of course I would barrel ride
and also try to get the horses to jump fences. Unfortunately, they
weren’t too thrilled with that, so they would come to a screeching
halt and veer to one side while I would go flying across the fence
with the greatest of ease.
I’ve had numerous dogs, ranging from a Miniature
Toy Poodle to German Shepherds. I had a few favorites: Rocky my Toy
Poodle, Tinker Bell my Sheltie Collie and Gum Drop who was a small
mix.
I raised bunnies for a while and my favorite bunny
was named Fred. I had a collar and a leash for him so I could walk
him every evening.
I’ve had many cats, birds, hamsters and even mice,
ducks and turtles.
On the farm I’ve fed baby animals with bottles, buckets with
nipples, milked cows and collected chicken eggs. I’m a real country
girl and animal lover! |

Jan CornwellHi!
My name is Jan. I have
watched dogs for friends and neighbors since high school.
These include Silky terrier, Keeshound, Norweigan Elkhound,
Boston terrier, Brittany Spaniel, Labradors,
Beagle, Shih-tzu, and Rhodesian ridgeback. Currently, I am a
stay-at-home mom of 2 young children.
My husband and I both love dogs and we love to have them stay
at our home. We have a great
fenced backyard with room to play for our doggie boarders.
I am also available for mid-day walks and for some pet
sitting.
I have had some type of pet for most of my life.
As a child we had a lovable Brittany Spaniel, fish, 2
parakeets, and a cat. As a
teen we had an intelligent Siberian Husky, tropical fish, and lots
of hamsters. In fact, my
first job was breeding and raising hamsters.
After my husband and I got married we adopted a wonderful
black lab mix. She had a long
a happy life with us and sadly passed away recently.
We will probably get another dog in the future.
I enjoy getting down on the floor and playing ball or tug
with dogs or playing fetch in the backyard.
I am also able to take the dogs on nice walks around our
neighborhood. When it’s time
for a pet to leave they are happy and tired from all the exercise
and attention! |

I have been working for TWT since May 2007. I am part time, I do a
lot of pet sitting, covering for vacations and mid-day walks. I have
a 1 year old son and a daughter born September 2007. My husband and
I felt it was important for me to stay home and take care of my
children .My son Desmond loves working with the dogs and looks
forward to it. I really wanted a part time job that was flexible and
allowed me to bring my children with me. TWT has been a great fit
for me and my family.
I have two cats named Rose and Thadeus. They are 4
years old and a part of our family. They were a Christmas gift from
my sister. Growing up we always had some sort of pet and loved them
all. Thank you for the privilege of caring for your pet.

Erin Childress
Greetings fellow pet parents! My name is Erin, and I recently moved
to the Northern Virginia area with my fiance, Ken, from the
Philadelphia suburbs. I am a 2008 graduate of Rosemont College with
a B.S. in Sociology w/Deaf Studies track. I'm currently working on a
pre-requisite program for my Masters in Speech- Language Pathology
as well as planning a spring 2011 wedding!
I have been surrounded by babies (my word for pets!) my entire life.
I had a cat named Tiggy for over 18 years who sadly became my kitty
angel last year after a battle with cancer. I also had a hound mix
named Mollie who lives in PA with my parents still! I had a bunny
named Thumper, a gerbil named Skippy, as well as my grandmom's toy
poodle named Brandy. Most recently, my twin sister and I adopted an
Egyptian Mau cat named Vashti, who I had to leave back in PA and
miss so much! I've had many childcare jobs which happened to have
pets in their homes whom I also learned to love and adore as if they
were my own. Specifically, a dalmatian/pit bull mix named Hanalei
and a Labrador mutt named Olina.
My fiancé and I can't wait to adopt our "son", a pug, in the near
future! I'm very excited to meet my furry friends at The Wagging
Tail!
I am so excited to be a part of The Wagging
Tail team, and I can't wait to get going and meet all my new 4 pawed
friends!

I am a wife, a special education teacher, and mommy to 2
adorable girls, Lucy (DSH, age 4) and Sadie (miniature dachshund,
age 2). My inspiration to professionally care for animals came after
my dog, Sadie, fell ill when she was 2 months old. Leaving my baby
at the hospital for 3 days was one of the hardest things I've ever
had to do, and made me realize the importance of truly being able to
trust the people who take care of your pets, and know that they are
giving your pet the same love that they would give their own. Having
hired pet sitters before to watch my girls while I have been away
for a day, or longer, I know that I am still always anxious and
worried about them while I am gone. Did the pet sitter remember that
Lucy will run out the door if they don't shut it completely? Will
they remember which are Sadie's favorite treats, and that she always
gets one when she comes inside? Will they give my animals the same
kind of love that they are used to getting when I am home? I want
you to relax and enjoy your time away from home, knowing that I am
caring for your pets specific needs and giving them lots of love and
attention! Give us a call and let me shower your pets with care and
you with ease! |
